Wisdom, the Midway Island Albatross!
Wisdom, the Midway albatross is the oldest documented bird in the world at 60+ years of age (and counting!). Her nest is on the island of Midway in Japan. When the Japanese tsunami hit on March 11, 2011, she was in extreme danger! For those not in the know, an Albatross (British spelling Albatros) is a large sea-bird found in the Pacific and the south Atlantic oceans. Albatrosses generally feed on cephalopods, fish, and crustaceans; they are generally surface feeders.
